April 2025

Mixing-green-paint

Welcome April!!

April brings a more pronounced shift into spring, with nature truly coming into bloom. It’s a month where vibrant colours start to dominate the landscape, as cherry blossoms seemingly emerge overnight to dapple sun rays across the scatterings of tulips and lilacs on every scrap of grass be they curb-side or meadow. Trees sprout fresh, viridian leaves and it seems as though even the dark belly of the forest has some concept of colour through those glorious splashes of bluebells and violets, snowdrops and foxgloves.

Designers have always sought inspiration from nature, often seeking stronger relationships between the interior and our surroundings. And whilst indoor plants and wooden floorboards may bring us part of the way, the colours of our walls still holds the greatest voice when it comes to the atmosphere of a room. It may therefore come as no surprise that April, for designers, is a time for vibrancies and light: rich yellows, vivid greens, soft blues, and purples mimic the bright flowers and clear skies which surround us this month, colours which create a sense of optimism and freshness, making your home feel inviting and full of energy.

Sustainability continues to be a key theme in interior design, especially as Earth Day on the 22nd April, approaches. At our core, we are deeply committed to the environment, offering eco-friendly paints that prioritise both the health of our planet and the well-being of those who use our products. Our paints are designed with a low environmental impact, ensuring that they are safe for both human health and nature. We take great pride in our ongoing efforts to continuously improve every aspect of our business, from the products we create to the packaging and labelling we use. This dedication to sustainability and innovation drives us to always seek ways to enhance our practices, making sure that we contribute to a greener, healthier world for future generations.

In short, April’s theme for both nature and decoration revolves around vibrancy, growth, and sustainability. It’s the perfect month to embrace nature-inspired colours and eco-conscious design choices while celebrating the season of renewal.

This month, we’re thrilled to highlight Piedmontese Aubergine, a rich yet soft hue that blends purple, red, magenta, and burnt umber to create a warm, cozy tone. This colour embodies a perfect balance of depth and comfort, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of spaces in your home. Whether you’re seeking to create a serene, soothing atmosphere or a bold statement, Piedmontese Aubergine adapts effortlessly to your vision. When used in a colour-drenched design, it provides a calming sense of reassurance, enveloping the room in a peaceful embrace. However, it truly shines when paired with complementary tones such as green, orange, red, and yellow ochre. These rich accents highlight the warmth and depth of the aubergine, allowing each room to radiate both sophistication and vibrancy. This beautiful colour works equally well as a focal point or a subtle backdrop, making it a timeless addition to any home.
