A Summer to Remember
What a joy this summer has been! Long, sun-drenched days filled with warmth and
that special golden light that makes everything feel vibrant and alive. It’s the kind of
weather that invites us outdoors — not just to relax and enjoy, but also to take care
of the homes we live in and love.

These bright, dry days offer the perfect conditions to paint exterior walls, especially
with Limewash. Limewash, with its breathable and mineral-rich qualities, thrives in
warm weather — it cures beautifully in sunlight and fresh air, bonding gently with the
surface to create a soft, natural finish that ages with grace.

If you’re thinking of refreshing your exterior walls with Limewash, this is the ideal time. However, it’s
essential that the instructions for application are read carefully, especially if your
decorator has never worked with our paints before. Our formulations are unique, and
the process can differ from more conventional paints. Please make sure your
decorator receives the instructions well in advance, so they can prepare the surface
properly and apply the paint with confidence. We’re always happy to advise or
answer any questions — just reach out!

It’s been a very busy time in the studio, with a lot of paint being mixed — and
we’re loving the light, fresh colours that are being chosen. Soft, uplifting pinks like
Thrift, from Postcard from Barra Collection, Priddy Moon, from the Somerset
Collection, and Yucca, from the Cuban Collection, have been in high demand, along
with a beautiful range of sandy, sun-washed tones from our Namibian Sands
Collection.

And of course, the beloved Peace White from our Off White Collection continues to
be a favourite — a timeless, elegant off-white made with just a touch of raw umber. It
brings freshness, warmth, and quiet sophistication to any room, making it feel both
airy and cosy.

Oranges are also having a moment! It’s been lovely to see the return of Gioia’s
Madras from our Original Collection — a warm yet fresh tone made with Red,
Magenta, Yellow Oxide and Yellow. It’s bold but perfectly balanced, bringing vibrancy
and energy without overwhelming a space.

We love creating new colours, and it’s always a joy to see what resonates — but it’s
important to remember that colours shouldn’t follow fleeting trends. The shades we
choose to surround ourselves with should reflect who we are, and help us feel
positive, comfortable, and safe in our homes.

Your home is your sanctuary, and colour has the power to hold and uplift you every
single day.
Wishing you a continued summer full of beauty, creativity, and sunshine.
Warmly,
Francesca
