December 2024
As the year comes to an end, we reflect on how it has gone and how we have felt throughout.
It has been an extremely productive and interesting year. It has been heartwarming to receive so many kind messages at the start of this year when Francesca’s Paints decided to remain in Battersea as a handmade, eco-friendly paint company. We could not believe the tremendous support we received from our clients, who were all so happy that we remained true to who we are: real paint artisans. We love it and are grateful for it.
This year, we have worked and continue to work on amazing projects, from commercial spaces, art galleries, to private residences. Our new collection Donne D’Arte has been a great success, our standard colour range of 247 colours has been so well received, and it has been a joy to create many beautiful bespoke colours and see how revered and appreciated they have been. The idea that we transform houses into homes for our clients with our paints and colours is always so rewarding and satisfying.
As Francesca’s Paints makes its way around the sun for the 29th time, we would like to extend the warmest thanks to our wonderful clients, both old and new. Without you, this work would not be possible.
We are amazed, grateful and surprised at how our clients have been looking for us all this time. We do have a great PR company, but we don’t have a visible shop. Our fantastic and eclectic studio is in a commercial centre, and in 28 years, we have never promoted ourselves as such. The seed was planted through fairs, word of mouth, and recommendations, and we love how clients search for and find us and want our paints and colours. It’s a tremendous honour. Thank you.
This year, there have been many improvements on our part, including changes in the studio, on the website, and in the way we do things. We are more up-to-date and focused on continuous improvement. Our job is our passion, and we care deeply about what we do and how we do it.
So thank you again for all your fantastic support and enthusiasm. Have a great Christmas and a healthy, prosperous, and fabulous New Year!
Closing Times
The studio in Battersea will be shut from Thursday the 20th of December and reopening on Monday the 6th of January. During this time we will not be able to complete any paint orders.
You can still order samples online through this website’s shop, however all orders will be processed and dispatched on Monday the 6th of January when we return.
Last Paint Orders will be taken at noon on Wednesday the 18th of December to arrive on Thursday the 19th December
Last Online Orders for samples will be taken at 5pm on Wednesday the 18th of December to arrive before the 21st of December.
Emails and answer phone messages will not be monitored until we return on the 6th of January. Please feel free to place orders during this time and we can process them once we return.
A year in colours.
Throughout this year we have been delighted to see so many exciting projects come into fruition. It is always fascinating to speak to clients so early on in the conception of a project and remain involved all the way through to the finalised space. To witness the change in concept, mood, confidence and of course appearance is just fabulous!
Usually at this point in the news we will do a colour of the month. As this is the last month, we thought it could be nice to compile the story of our year so far through each of our previous ‘Colour of the Month’ entries including our latest addition to the list for December.

As we wrap up our Colours of the Year series, we’re excited to introduce Turmeric as our colour for December. This rich, earthy hue, inspired by the vibrant spice, brings a much-needed sense of warmth to our homes during the colder months.
As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, we turn to our homes for comfort and coziness. Turmeric’s warm glow creates a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for cozying up with a good book or spending time with loved ones. But the beauty of Turmeric truly shines as the days begin to lengthen and the light grows warmer. This humble yellow promises brighter days ahead, making it the ideal choice to usher in a new year filled with hope and optimism.
