February 2026 News
A Packed Month at the Studio

So here we are in February 2026. January has gone by so quickly and has been incredibly eventful. Here is a look at what has been happening in our world.
Important Security Notice
First of all, I have some important news regarding the following email address: wren.francescaspaint@gmail.com. This account has been hacked. Please do not open any messages you receive from it as they may contain malware. It is always a bore when this happens, and I am very sorry for any inconvenience.
New Studio Working Hours
We are excited about everything happening at the Studio, but we are making some small changes to our schedule. We are reducing our working days as we are all heading back to college!
Our new trading days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We will now be closed on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Podcast with Maria Le Mesurier
Listen here: https://open.spotify.com/
I recently spoke with @marialemesurier about my experience in India last November doing Panchakarma. Have a listen; it was something a little different that changed me forever, and I hope it will inspire others to do it too. It is a cleansing of the body, mind, and soul. I hope you will enjoy it. Thank you @marialemesurier for having me back, keeping your word, and making it happen.
Creative Pursuits at City Lit
I have been enjoying my time at City Lit in Covent Garden immensely. I am currently enrolled in a non-fiction writing course; the tutor is stimulating, and it has been wonderful to use my brain in a completely different way.
Writing has always been a passion of mine—I have kept a diary, a page a day, since I was 13 years old. I have had a book in my head for quite some time, and this is the year I want to make it happen: a romance all about colours.
The Art of Mixing: Browns and Greens
In the Studio, we have been mixing some wonderful colours, particularly browns—you can see “Rishikesh” being hand mixed at the top of this post. We have also been focusing on greens in every possible shade.
Green is one of the most complex colours to create because it can often look flat. While nature offers a multitude of tones, a tin of paint is usually just one flat colour. However, our paints are so full of pigments that they actually change and breathe throughout the day.
Personal Colour Consultations
I have been kept very busy with colour consultations, which I find fulfilling and fun. Three of these have already turned into immediate orders, and two more are scheduled for the end of March. I find this part of my work deeply personal and intimate; I love creating an original flow and seeing clients open up to suggestions they might never have considered before.

Highlights from the Decorative Fair

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Decorative Fair in Battersea. Gilbert Bannerman painted his stand in “Federal Green” from the Tin Shack Collection, which is also our colour of the month. Gilbert and his family have been using our paints for a long time.
You can see his recent and previous stands in the images:
- The pink is Rose 2 (Fresh Collection).
- The taupe is Walpole Taupe (Houghton Hall Collection).
- The orange is Arabella’s Pumpkin (Original Collection).
It was also a joy to see the Sheldrake Collection stand. It was painted in our JW6 from the John Waterhouse Collection and looked absolutely ace—elegant and filled with beautiful antiques. It was lovely to finally meet Chloe and Alice.

Colour of the Month: Federal Green
Our featured colour for February is Federal Green from the Tin Shack Collection.
It is a fresh, bluey-green that is highly pigmented. It looks superb in any room, from living rooms and bedrooms to bathrooms and studies. It also provides a fantastic backdrop for artwork.
Looking Ahead
We will soon be disclosing some major changes happening later this year, so stay tuned!
Have a great February.
Best,
Francesca
