January 2025
Happy New Year to all our valued clients! We wish you a year filled with health, happiness, and prosperity.
As we embrace the new year, it’s the perfect time to refresh our living spaces.
January calls for a subtle shift in colour to create an inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for the months ahead. In interior design, wall colours play a pivotal role in shaping the mood of a room. For January, softer, cooler tones often work wonders. Shades like muted blues and gentle greys can evoke a sense of calm and tranquility, ideal for winter months when we seek comfort and relaxation. Meanwhile, warm neutrals such as taupe, soft beige, and ivory can bring a cozy, welcoming feeling to your home. For a more vibrant touch, consider pastel hues like Cloud of Agra (from the Monsoon Collection) or perhaps Lavender I (From our Fresh Collection), both of which add a hint of color without overwhelming the space. These hues not only complement the serene atmosphere of winter but also enhance natural light, making your home feel airy and fresh as we begin a new year. Whether you’re updating a single room or giving your entire space a fresh coat of paint, these colors will help you create an environment that fosters peace and inspiration throughout the month of January and beyond.
A New Way of Seeing Colour
We are proud to offer an extensive range of colours, with 27 collections and a total of 247 unique shades. However, we know that not all of these colors have been fully explored or appreciated in their full potential. That’s why, starting this month, we’ll be showcasing new, exciting colour combinations that go beyond the individual collections. Each month, we’ll present fresh pairings that blend our unique collections together, creating entirely new palettes that might not be immediately obvious. This way, you can discover even more possibilities for your space, expanding the creative potential of our collections and allowing for truly unique design experiences.
Our First Colour Combination is:
French Grey from the Off White 1 Collection, Naturel from the Cuban Collection and Milk Buti from the Mughal Spring Collection
A neutral and warming palette designed to encouraging ricochets of light to bounce between these subtle earthy yet clean tones.
Shifting Sands from the Colours of My Mind Collection, Sun Dried Tomato from the Sacla Collection and Naturel from the Cuban Collection.
A warming protest against the cooling light of winter. I can imagine the red used on furniture or anywhere you may want a drifting eye to reach, while the sand forms the perfect compliment and the grey a sense of harmony and completion.
Milk Buti from the Mughal Spring Collection, Dusk from the Earth Collection and Lavender II from the Fresh Collection
Purple is in and we are honoured to have predicted it. Francesca’s Paints has been featuring heavily in recent magazines and articles for our big push in the purple department, what better celebration than a purple palette. Designed with winter in mind, this calming triptych poses a threat to our fear of purple – a colour so many of us deem “too vibrant for a home”. This earthy trio go to show that purples are not all bright, not all vibrant and very well suited for interiors.
Moonlight from the Earth Collection, Traigh from the Postcard from Barra Collection and Shifting Sands from the Colours of my Mind Collection.
Subtly Zingy. A palette invented in an attempt to subvert the casual neutral palette we have all seen before – often cold – often greys. Moonlight collects a soft and zesty yellowish glow (perfect to counteract a spot of cold lighting), Traigh, a deceptively ochre ridden neutral that comes alive in the lamplight, ideal for those longer winter nights. Finally we have Shifting Sands boasting another subtle yellow glow that brings this into a collection of warming and fun neutrals.
Colour of the Month
This month we have seen an enormous interest resurface in Mist from the Solace Collection. When we talk about neutrals, The Mist exemplifies the topic – a wonderfully warm and pleasant tone that never demands attention but beams warmth and radial glow across any space.
