Francesca Travels to India 2025

Summer Closure & India Bound!

Welcome July (and August)!

It is a wrap for us; we are now closed until the 7th of September.

June has been an exciting month, filled with humongous orders, colour consultations, and the making of the most exquisite colours. It has actually been our record month, and I am completely overwhelmed by the trust my clients have given me. I have been mixing like mad for jobs that will be completed while I am away. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I cannot believe the time has come. I am about to go back to my beloved India because my goal is to write a book about colours as a present to myself in celebration of our 30th anniversary in November. The creative writing course at City Lit has finished and my head is full of ideas and styles. It has proved tremendously helpful. Let’s see what will come out. I am excited to do something completely different than making colours and mixing paints. I love writing and I really hope to come back with a lot of material. I am already in contact with a few publishing companies. This is a very special project to me. Sometimes I think I am mad, closing for two months during the busiest time of the year, but life is too short…

Planning a Milestone Celebration

I am also planning a big party with clients, friends and family to help me celebrate this milestone. I am currently looking at venues because I want it to be a fun, colourful time surrounded by all the people who have helped, believed in, supported and been part of this long journey. The invites will go out when I come back in September.

Vespar Restaurant, Exmouth Market, designed by Jermaine Gallacher

Another restaurant has been completed, designed by the great Jermaine Gallacher. It is the 4th restaurant that we have done together, and I always love working with Jermaine. The chef is the glorious Jackson Boxer, and the restaurant is Vesper in Exmouth Market. The colours used were White Truffle from the Off White Collection, and Cardinal from the 10th Collection. We also received these beautiful images from a happy client. We made the brown especially for this project—a wonderful, deep, intense, yet calming and enveloping brown full of the best pigments. Stylist Holly Sneezum

Colour of the Month: Pithora White

The colour of the month is Pithora White. We have been mixing extraordinary colours lately—some very rich, some very strong, and there has been a return of grey and green. However, the colour that got the most attention alongside Chalk and Milk Buti, has been Pithora White, a precious off-white with a personality. It is made with all-natural pigments and a dash of green. Off whites have been incredibly popular.

I am always extremely grateful for your curiosity, understanding and support. Have a great summer, don’t forget us, and we will meet again in September.

Love from me

Francesca
