Matt Emulsion
THE PRODUCT
Francesca’s Matt Emulsion is a smooth matt emulsion, providing a top quality and wipeable finish for interior walls and ceilings. It is soft and chalky. It is not breathable and not scrubbuble. Light colours can be touched up. Dark colours are more difficult to be touched up because of the amount of pigments used in the coloration of the paint. It comes in all our colours.
TYPE OF SUBSTRATE
Plaster and embossed wallcoverings. Also suitable on wallboards, concrete, cement rendering, brickwork and blockwork in interior situations.
COVERAGE
1 litre will cover approximately 14 square meters depending on porosity of surface. Strong colours might require additional coats.
DRYING TIME
Touch dry 1-2 hours. Allow 6-8 hours before applying the second coat. Dark colours will need 24 hours before applying the second coat. Paint has to harden well before receiving the second coat
PREPARATION
Ensure surface is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all loose and defective paint. Rub down glossy surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper. Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of up to 1 part of water to 9 part of Matt Emulsion.
APPLICATION
Stir well before use. Do not thin, except for absorbent surfaces, or when applying by roller or spray when a small quantity of clean water may be added. Suitable for application by brush, roller or spray. Apply evenly and avoid overspreading. Apply second coat after 2-4 hours. Do not apply in temperature below 10C.
CLEANING
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment immediately after use in soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Do not empty product into drains or watercourse. Replace lid firmly.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Colour variation can occur between batches due to the natural pigments used, therefore, it is recommended that all Francesca’s Vinyl Matt be purchased at the same time. Keep the lid tightly on. Keep out of reach of children. Do not swallow and avoid eye contact. If accidental contact occurs, rinse eyes with copious amounts of water. WHEN USING MORE THAN ONE TIN COLOUR IN THE SAME ROOM, INTERMIX BEFORE USE.
