Flat Oil
What is Flat Oil?
Francesca’s Flat Oil is a traditional matt finish formulated for interior use and produces a durable, smooth matt even finish. It comes in all our colours.
Suitable Surfaces
Francesca’s Oil Gloss has been formulated for interior woods and metals.
Surface Preparation
Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask when dry sanding.
Application
Stir well before use. Application by brush, roller or spray. Apply one or more coats as required and allow 16-24 hours between coats under normal conditions. Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces.
Coverage
1 litre will cover approximately 20 sq. metres, depending on the porosity of the surface. Strong and contrasting colour may require additional coats. When using more than one tin of a colour, intermix before use.
Cleaning
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing. Wash equipment immediately after use with White Spirit or Turpentine Substitute. Some local authorities have special facilities for disposal of waste coatings. DO NOT EMPTY PRODUCT INTO DRAINS OR WATERCOURSES. Replace lid firmly. STORE AWAY FROM HEAT AND FLAME
General Information
Ensure maximum ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse with copious amount of water and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. FLAMMABLE.
