What is Smart Emulsion?
Francesca’s Smart Emulsion is the toughest of our emulsions, the finish dries matt but is completely cleanable, scrubbable and washable.
Smart Emulsion is suitable for use on interior walls and woodwork and can be applied on walls and wood, making it perfect if you want to use a hardwearing finish throughout a space. It can be touched up, scrubbed and with such a low VOC count, it makes for an ideal choice for children’s bedrooms and kitchens or in any space with lots of traffic.
Our Smart Emulsion is not suitable for bathrooms or in areas of continuous high humidity.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free of grease.
Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of up to 1part water to 4 parts Francesca’s Smart Emulsion.
Prime bare timber and metal surface with appropriate primer.
Application
Francesca’s Smart Emulsion can be applied by brush, roller and spray gun.
When using roller, use a medium pile synthetic type.
Apply liberally and evenly, avoid overspreading.
Smart Emulsion should be touch dry after about 1-2 hours, apply the second coat after 4 hours.
Coverage
1 litre will cover approximately 6 square metres over 2 coats (depending on porosity of surface).
Cleaning
Remove as much emulsion paint as possible from application equipment before washing.
Wash tools immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
Do not empty emulsion into drains or watercourses.
General Information
Colour variation can occur between batches due to the natural pigments used, therefore, it is recommended that all Francesca’s Smart Emulsion be purchased at the same time. Keep the lid tightly on. Keep out of reach of children. Do not swallow and avoid eye contact. If accidental contact occurs, rinse eyes with copious amounts of water.
